What this calculator estimates
The Lost Revenue Calculator estimates your weekly bookable capacity, how much of it is currently used (your occupancy), and the theoretical value of the capacity that goes unused — plus what realistic occupancy targets could add in extra bookings and revenue.
Who it's for
It's built for appointment-based wellness businesses: float centers, massage and recovery studios, cryotherapy and cold-plunge providers, saunas, spas and similar operators who sell time in rooms or resources.
The assumptions behind the numbers
Capacity is your rooms × weekly opening hours ÷ the average appointment block (which should include cleaning, prep and buffer time). Effective bookings account for your cancellation/no-show rate. Monthly figures use 52 ÷ 12 weeks; annual figures use 52 weeks. Unused capacity is theoretical — it excludes taxes, costs, discounts and real-world demand limits, so treat it as potential, not guaranteed revenue.

Is unused capacity the same as lost revenue?
No. Unused capacity is a theoretical maximum — the value of every empty slot if it were booked at your average price. Real businesses never run at 100%, and it excludes taxes, costs, discounts and demand limits. Use it to size the opportunity, not as a guaranteed number.
What should the appointment block include?
Use the full time a booking occupies a room: the service itself plus cleaning, preparation and any buffer between clients. For a 60-minute float with 30 minutes of turnaround, enter 90.
Why don't I see every occupancy scenario?
We only show targets above your current occupancy — there's no point projecting a level you've already passed. If you're already above 90%, no scenarios are shown.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is stored unless you ask us to email your report. If you do, we save your inputs and result to generate a private report link, and your email as a lead — separately from any marketing consent.
