Membership Pricing Calculator
Model a monthly membership priced at a discount off pay-as-you-go, and see the member's saving, your margin per member, and the usage level where it stops being profitable.
Results are calculated privately in your browser. We store anonymous, aggregated scores (never your name, email or exact figures) to build wellness-industry benchmarks.
What this calculator does
It helps you set a monthly membership price that members see as a genuine saving while still protecting your margin — and shows the usage level at which a member becomes unprofitable, so you can price with your eyes open.
Who it's for
Appointment-based wellness businesses selling repeat visits — float centers, massage and recovery studios, cryotherapy, saunas and spas — that want predictable, recurring revenue.
How we calculate it
Membership price = pay-as-you-go monthly spend × (1 − your discount). Your margin per member = price − (typical sessions × variable cost per session). Break-even usage is the number of sessions at which that margin reaches zero. Figures exclude fixed costs and the extra retention a membership typically buys.
Membership Pricing — FAQ
What discount should a membership offer?
Enough to feel worth committing to — often 15–30% off pay-as-you-go — but not so much that heavy users cost you money. This calculator shows exactly where that line is for your numbers.
What is break-even usage?
The number of monthly sessions at which a member's delivery cost equals their membership price. Beyond it, that member costs you money — which is why many operators add a fair-use cap.
Should I include my variable cost?
If you can estimate it (staff time, consumables, utilities, card fees per session), yes — it makes the margin and break-even real. If not, leave it at 0 for a revenue-only view.
Do you store my numbers?
The calculation runs in your browser; nothing is stored unless you ask us to email your results, in which case we save the inputs/result for a private link and your email as a lead, separate from marketing consent.
Can FloatOS manage the memberships themselves?
Yes — FloatOS creates plans, charges recurring payments, tracks session credits and usage, and flags margin, so the pricing you model here runs itself.
